FDA approves new HeRO graft.
The AP (4/4) reported that yesterday, CryoLife Inc. announced that "the Food and Drug Administration cleared a new version of its HeRO graft" to be "used in patients with end-stage kidney disease who are on dialysis and have blocked central veins. ... CryoLife said the new version of the graft has an adaptor that allows physicians to combine the HeRO with other dialysis access grafts." The new version of the graft may appear on the market sometime during the fourth quarter this year, the AP noted.
