Regular jogging may increase life expectancy.

The Huffington Post (5/4) reports, "Researchers from the Copenhagen City Heart Study found that regular jogging adds years onto the life expectancies of both men and women."
MSNBC /MyHealthNewsDaily (5/4) reports that investigators "looked at the mortality rates of 1,116 male joggers and 762 female joggers, and compared them with mortality rates of non-joggers in the study of 20,000 people." Study "participants answered questions about how much time they spent jogging each week, and rated their own perceptions of pace (defined as slow, average and fast)."
HealthDay (5/4, Dallas) reports, "The researchers found that male joggers can extend their life by 6.2 years, and women by 5.6 years." The investigators reported that "jogging at a slow pace for one to two and a half hours weekly provided the most significant benefits."
