Trial Of Drug For Diabetic Macular Edema Halted Early Based On Positive Data.

Reuters (3/20) reports that a study of Ampio Pharmaceuticals' experimental drug Optina (low-dose danazol) was halted early due to positive findings, according to the company. Researchers are testing whether the medication benefits patients with diabetic macular edema. The drug maker said that it will meet with the FDA to discuss late-stage trial design
